Windows Mail Memory (?) Problems

Hi there:

I am having frequent problems with Windows Mail, which stops displaying the content of folders, and if it displays an error message it says “possibly low memory or disk space”, though I purchased as much RAM (2.00 GB) and HD (288 GB) as possible. This also occurs when sending emails with pix attachments – though it just says “an error has occurred”.

I gather that this is a common problem with Windows Mail. Only solution (temporary) is Restart.

I have deleted a number of stored emails I was receiving and forwarding which had pix attachments (which I presume also require memory), but that did not improve the matter.

Is there a fix or should I use Outlook Express or some other program more suitable for ordinary PCs?

PS:I am running a Dell PC (Dell Dimension DM 061 PC, 2007) with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, with a 288 GB C drive (c204 GB free) and 2 GB RAM.

Thamks, John
