Windows Mail dictionary change

Hi,
Being a fairly new Vista user from XP Pro, I'm having difficulty trying to change the dictionary in Windows Mail to English (Australian) or (UK).
I haven't found previous threads on this subject helpful as they are confusing. I would be grateful for assistance.

Open Windows Mail>click "tools">click "options">click "spelling" tab at top>set language to "English"
note- UK spellcheck not available for WM

Windows Live Mail has UK/AUS spellcheck feature. http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Using Windows Explorer Find "spell.ini" in
%programfiles%\Windows Live\Mail\Proof\prf0009\2\spell.ini
and open it with Notepad. Change 1033 to 2057 (for UK), or 3081 (for AUS) save and close.

Thank you rive0108 for your advice.
However, after downloading Window Live I find I have to pay for using the software and that doesn't seem right to me, after using Outlook Express for free for many years. I'll just have to battle with the English (US) dictionary, wishing I had never upgraded to Vista.

Thanks rive0108, but in reading the agreement before installing Windows live, I read that there are charges. It was confusing so perhaps I misunderstood the text. Now looking at Thunderbird which is far less confusing.

Windows Live is not a pay for product - it is free.

However, to be honest, I used Eudora for most of my life - then moved to Thunderbird when it went gold with the 1.0 release.

I have never used another mail client in almost 15 years except at work, where Outlook was mandatory (I now find that I can use Thunderbird from my flash drive - yay!)
