Windows doesn't see all my RAM

Hi, love this forum, been reading it for a long time.

So here's my problem. Until now i had 2gb of ram. Vista Ultimate x64 worked great. But i do a lot of work with virtual machines so i needed more. I bought 4 more gb, and i placed them next to the ones already installed. I log into windows, and it still shows me that i have only 2 gb instead of 6gb. Afterwards I took out the 2gb of ram I had, leaving only the 4. Windows boots ok, i log in.. still ony 2gb seen.

What can I do ?

My motherboard is Gigabye 965p-s3 rev3.3. On the site it says that "Dual Channel architecture support up to 8GB by 4 DIMM slots". So it should work, as i have two of 2gb each. I took out the other ram as it annoyed me.

Oh yeah, and at startup the bios tells me the correct amount of ram each time.

Thanks.

Look in the Bios for a Memory Remapping function, and enable it. I'd like to be more specific, but different Bios' often use different names.
