windows defender

cant open windows defender, every time i click on it a notification window pops up for 1/2 a second saying windows defender is turned off then just goes off.
i think someone is in my pc. help would be verry mutch appreciated.

If you are using Microsoft Security Essentials, Defender is suppose to be turned off. Defender software is included with MSE.

If you are not using MSE, get it. Its one of the best for Windows. and its free.
