Windows Defender

Hello
I just found out for some reason my Window defender was switched off, i try to switch it on, but when i do there is no reponse, i am running vists 32 bit home edition.
Hope some one can help?

Are you by chance using Microsoft Security Essentials?
If so, it turns off Defender on purpose, it is not needed if MSE is running.

If no MSE, Also try a scan with malwareebytes or your virus/malware scanner.

Alot of baddys disable scanners.

Thanks yes i am running Mse, that has solved my problem, i will also do a scan with Malaware Bytes.
