Windows Aero has disappeared!

Hi,

I am using Vista Home Premium 32bit. I used to have the Windows Aero theme, but one day it disappeared. If I go to Control Panel>Appearance & Personalisation>Personalisation> Window Color and Appearance, I have Windows Standard and Windows Classic color schemes listed, but Windows Aero has disappeared!

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am only given dates to restore from the last week - this problem happened a couple of months ago - I'm only just getting around to resolving it now...any other suggestions?

What is your windows experience index score to find out right click on computer on your desktop or start menu.

Also make sure you have the latest video and chipset driver.

sallyB - did u figure out how to get Areo 'scheme' turn back on LMK ASAP so i can help ya if u didnt get to do it.

change the THEME to CLASSIC..then go to PERSONIZATION and go to WINDOW COLOR and APPREANCE.. and AREO is the 1st one. YEY ME !!!

I tried this... but Windows Aero is not in the list like it should be!

Which computer do you have? Is that a branded one like Dell or Acer or custom build(self made)?
