Overview

Windows Advisor is a self-help tool that notifies you about problems in your PC and helps you fix them. Windows Advisor scans your PC continuously, notifies you about important issues, and, when possible, suggests an easy fix solution. Additionally, it provides a checkup function, so that you can manually check your PC. This manual checkup displays information about additional, non-critical issues, such as suggestions and tips for improving the way you use your PC. The checkup advises you about security, performance, networking, printing, and more.

Sounds Interesting, How well does it work?

lol It says only Vista is supported but I doubt that would run with them requirements, I wish vista only needed a 233mhz processor and 128mb ram

Nope the Download link is good, Microsoft just pulled the Windows Advisor Pilot from there download center

Having just found this thread,I tried the link,and just get zilch.Maybe they found a glitch with the software? Surelly not.:eek:

It is now available through Microsoft Connect - I just now grabbed it and have just now installed it.

After installing, I went through the order of things as they were listed.

PC Checkup found 2 points of contention under Performance and Maintenance: Enable the Phishing filter in IE (I honestly thought that was already enabled....) and Improve Microsoft Office performance.

Everything else was pretty much straight forward - although it tries to set itself to auto start - you have to turn off *both* PC Checkup and Offers to prevent it from running all the time on your PC (Options --> Settings --> PCCheckup and Options --> Settings --> Offers
