Perhaps you could send us the MBAM report, as we can regognise particular infections. Any serious infection (be it infected file count or risk severity) often has files missed by MBAM. I would be looking at disinfecting your PC first.

thanks guys, I have completely disinfected the pc so far I think as I have run malware bytes and avast bart boot from cd virus scan..
I'm sure its the virus in the machine which have caused that, the question here is how to make sure the virus if out?

thanks
Ash

My Computer

My point was that a seemingly disinfected PC may actually still be infected. May you please upload the log files to see if it is a virus with a bad reputation? Thanks!

Attached are the MBAM files..

hey the two MBAM reports one is when the computer was infected and the second is when i have runned another scan and malware bytes didnt find any infected files

I am running Avast Bart AV scan at the moment- it has detected two infected files so far nut getting lots of error message that d:/user/ doc & setting/ - file cannot scan.
But still the scan is running, and will let it run.. I am wondering if i do a system restore, the pc might get infected again or was in the past as well as the user never had an antivirus program on that laptop!!

Conclusion at the moment- Internet explorer or mozilla still not connecting to any webpage but connecting fine under safe mode-
Under normal mode i can log on to windows live messenger or skype fine-

hmm please help!!!!

Thanks
Ash

Thanks for your help guys.. this issue is fixed

I have uninstalled all antivirus programs on the laptop but still wasn't working so I ran Norton removal tools on the laptop.. and restarted the laptop.
It now connects straight away, oh I presume there was some leftovers of the norton 360 on the pc as the client said the laptop came with free 6o days trial norton 360..

Can;t understand why norton was blocking the Internet access, when the software was already uninstalled and there was only leftovers..

thanks guys

cheers
Ash
