Is VSS working?

Otherwise - try Paragon Hot Processing under the Advanced backup options:

HOT-PROCESSING-2010-01-11_223819.jpg

Make a separate backup of the mbr ( it's only tiny)

If not, there might be some oem software on there interfering with it.

Try another backup app. - it may work better for your setup:

Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download

What error do they give?

I am guessing there is a problem with the filesystem .

Try running check disk.

Click Start orb>Computer >Rt click the Drive.>Select Properties>Tools >Check Now.

If it is the system or boot partition , check disk will be scheduled for the next restart.

Restart and let check disk fix the errors.
