Will hibernate immediately after wake from the same

I have scoured the forum and have not found my answer. I do not use Sleep, because some of my USB devices do not work when it wakes. So I use Hibernate exclusively. However, when I turn it on from hibernate, after it come up to the sign in screen, it immediately will go back to hibernate. Sometime if I bang on the keyboard constantly while it is booting up, it will wake and allow a log in.
Any thoughts?

Your return to sleep unattended timeout period may have gotten set to a short amout of time. You might check with this tutorial to see if increasing the amount of time to wait can help.
