why is this shown as a laptop???

ok so my desktop mobo and cpu.... are shown as a laptop..... why?
it is a Acer Aspire M1201 it even shows it as this in the pre installed vista

lets see....... best i remember it was the networking name first, it was *****@laptop
than some of my games said it was a laptop, i can't remember what else right now......

oh sorry it wasn't windows system info... it was ubuntu..... sorry about that but..... my games did show that it is a laptop also as does google

hm..... i have had less problems with it than with any version of windows........ but anyway

lol, don't get me wrong mate. I like Ubuntu. I'm even thinking of ditching Suse and going back to it when 9.04 is released. But less problems than Windows??? Not with my Linux experiences (yeah, yeah. More user fault than the OS itself )

The source file for the info has obviously incorrectly flagged it as a laptop. Unless it's also affecting Ubuntu's power management etc, I wouldn't be worried about it.

If it's games in Ubuntu, then it's just the info from the same place the sys info is getting it.
