hm.... the two 5770's would be faster than the 5850...... but a single 5850 would be good for now and you could add a second down the line

If you want 5850 performance, go with the 5850. As pizzaman said, you will have better options to upgrade to.

His motherboard is a rampage 2 extreme, and a modular 850 watt PSU, so i think he go with whatever he wants :p

the single card solution would be preferable (5850) as said above, if you go with the 5770's yes they'll out perform a single 5850 but you'll limit your upgrade capability, whereas you can add another 5850 later on & pull in the same performance as a stock HD5970 :D:D
