Generally here: exactly depends from user account -for my account I showed above Normally you can't see this key because SYSTEM account is owner of these key and only he has rights to these keys and you shouldn't change it.I runned regedit from a SYSTEM account to see these keys.Of course user password are encrypted and you only read by using special tools like Offline NT Password & Registry Editor <-this tool only change and reset passwords... but these tools: Ophcrack John the Ripper password cracker Windows XP Login Recovery - Window password recovery within minutes. can also read passwords see also post 2 this thread:http://www.vistax64.com/vista-account-administration/183835-how-enable-system-administrator.html although this is unlike thread but I there described how to identity users keys in SAM Last edited: Nov 29, 2008 My Computer System One
