Where did my Aero go????

Ok I need a little help.

Where did my Aero go?

My computer is by far good enough to run Aero because I had it going for a long time and just out of the blue it's gone...

I have Intel core 2 duo 2.5
4gigs ram
512mb nvidia video card with the latest drivers

What can I do? I am surprised it's not even a setting.

Yeah, that happens when it recognizes that you don't have a graphics card capable of aero (referring to not having a setting for it.) Check your WEI, see what it says. Try rolling back your graphics card driver, see if that does it.

Funny thing i found is that when i went to check if aero was on so i could turn it off it wasn't there for me neither regardless of driver lol

I now these days just use the EVGA drivers for it, havn't bothered to check to see if it come back

Well for some odd reason my color settings got switched to 16bit and that's why I was missing Aero.

Good thing it's back and running good!

Must have happened some how when i switch from my laptop screen to an external one all the time.

Odd, I thought I lost the "aero" option also. I found it on "Theme" and getting out of "my modified setting" and temporarily choosing any option...only then the "aero" option showed up.
