In a nutshell you have pci-e x1 V1.0 while your x16 are V2.0

The SATA 3, 6Gig speed SATA card "should" work on your system as it is backward compliant with 1.x standard, or so it says. However I've found 1.0 support to be sketchy with 60% or more do work, but some don't.

My question is why do you want the card?

None of your hard drives are SATA 3, and as it is an add in card you won't get top performance, plus the difference between SATA 2 and 3 are not really noticable on a system like yours.

I can not see any benifits of you getting that card, you're almost better off getting a new motherboard and cpu cooler and overclocking...
Or updating to a 1155 setup with usb 3 and SATA 3.

Ah. If it's a regular platter drive, not an SSD, you will not see any improvement. The read/write speeds don't fill the SATA 2 bvandwidth anyway.

But hey, it's your setup, you can't go wrong so if you wantn it, get it.
