Yes, I heard about the issues with nVidia cards and windows vista 64 shutting down properly. My question is, why now? This computer was running fine, in fact perfect, the last couple of days and now all of a sudden windows refuses to shut down and my Microsoft Outlook will not open (but the other office programs work fine). Also, the computer is now lagging, and with a 2 quad processor and 8 gbs of ram, I should not be having lag issues. It's like the CPU is looping processes, but I cannot see what process is causing it in task manager.
Anyone have any advice? I am going to have to use my OS disk next to restart if someone has no ideas, because I have been working on this **** for hours now.
Right now I have a Intel 2 Quad Q9400, 2.66 Ghz, nVidia GTS 250, and 8 GBs of DDR2 RAM. The PSU is 440 watts I believe and I am running windows home premium 64. The computer is made by Velocity Micro.
I am currently running a thorough scan disk, but I do not believe in my heart that this is a HDD issue.
