I am getting an X-FI Prelude...wanted to know what speakers people would use with a nice soundcard. All I have are some monitors right now, and while they are okay - I really would like to know what people are happy with on their systems.

Check my specs;).
They deliver good quality sound and can be quite load if needed with good base.

I second Pizzaman's comment. I run the Logitech x-540 5.1 system and they sound awesome!! I can't say that I have a rocking sound card though. I just have a built in laptop card.

Audigy 4 with the Logitech X-530, does everything I ask of it.

And if you're getting the Prelude you will definitely want to get a decent set of speakers or headphones. Cheap or as in your case monitor speakers will not do that card any justice.
