What is the first step to diagnosing a problem signature?

Hi There,

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my problem signature:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1000008e
BCP1: C0000005
BCP2: 90822941
BCP3: ACAB4A1C
BCP4: 00000000
OS Version: 6_0_6002
Service Pack: 2_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini120109-01.dmp
C:\Users\Kevin\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-53196-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Kevin\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE187.tmp.version.txt

Only the Mini120109-01.dmp can be found on my computer. The other two I cannot find even with hidden files/system files set to viewable. Event viewer seems to have alot of errors for the i8042prt driver but I don't know if that is causing this problem signature.

Any advice would be helpful.

Many thanks,

Ellsworth

Looks like you have fixed your own problem.
Chances are it was a driver, is there anything in the "Event Viewer" ?.
