Solved What if I have 3gb of RAM?
Right now I'm using Vista Ultimate 32-bit
I've 3gb of ram and I have all drivers for 64-bit.
Is it reasonable to go for 64-bit?
And, will all 32-bit software work in 64-bit OS?
Thank you.
Yes 64bit will work on 3Gb RAM BUT check your other Application Sofware and Pherphericials (printers scanners camera's) will work.

Hi ptatti.....Welcome to the Vista forums.
all of your x32 apps will work on x64, 3gb is a good amount of RAM for vista whether its x32 or x64.
im not really sure what your asking..?? if you wish to add more RAM in the future & better GFX i would go x64, but i wouldn't upgrade just b/c you have 3gb or RAM
you will be able to utilize the full 3gb on x32.

Hello Ptatti, and welcome to Vista Forums.
If you have a 64 bit CPU as well, then sure it will be worth installing the 64 bit Vista version. See this link below for more information about 32 bit vs 64 bit Vista to help you decide if you want to upgrade.

While almost all 32 bit software will work in the 64 bit Vista, not all will. This is usually with utility or older programs though. You can check at this link below to help see what is compatible with the 64 bit Vista. After you click on the type of software etc.. , be sure to click on the 64 bit System Type option on the left side.
