What games do you play on Vista ?

JimJoe

Vista Guru
I don't have a problem playing online games on Vista, so I didn't post this to Gaming.

I have been able to play Everquest 1 very easily on my Vista computer. Last year was my third year playing, on a WinXP desktop with a 32 meg video card at first, then changed to a 128 meg video card both AGP8x, Everquest. My Vista machine has double the ram and a larger PCI-express video card with 256 Megs of video ram.

I can certainly handle denser character numbers on my Vista machine than I could on either the WinXP computers. (Both WinXP computers need new motherboards).

I have tried Second Life MMO, but my Vista Home Premium machine seems to be slower there.

So, what computer games, MMOs, do you play on Vista machines and how well do they play ?

Crysis and DMC4 run at medium and "C"- but I am also running them on a 2 year old notebook with a C2D T7600G 2.66ghz, and a class 2 gpu (Radeon x1900 256mb DX9C). Halo2 runs on high.

You Geforce G100 is really a rebranded Geforce (9400 series)class 3 card-a low midrange GPU. It will only play the newer games like Crysis at decreased details and mediocre resolution. a year from now it will be barely games capable in regard to new releases.

I realizer it is a 9400. But Everquest worked with a 128 meg video card, doubling it to 256meg was a big improvement/

I do have a 512Meg PCI-Express video card, but it is likely too tall to fit in the smaller E1400 case. I bought the 512 meg card to run the video in my 'bare bones' WinXP desktop.

Ouch. 4K high end gaming machine from last year would still be like a fresh bun right now & the following couple of years.
I'm playing The Witcher EE. High impact game.
I purchased Stalker-Clear Sky for $10 and I'm dissappointed at what they did with the character. I don't understand how you can play this game if your going to be dieing relatively fast due to the characters huge impact of shots and terrible nervous system haha Basically one shot and your losing health dramatically and you need to use at least 2 health kits to recover however time is very limited and you get shot before your even finished doing that and it's the first chapter lol Retarded gameplay but graphics are outstanding.

How is Crysis online? I hear a couple of negative things about it, such as the length of each match?

I feel dumb now because I mentioned earlier that I had the demo running on high settings just fine. If you guys had your machines running it on medium or low I must be strongly mistaken... hmmm

dont know what the online is like, i only bought the games because they look sexy at 1920x1080.
gears 2 isnt coming to pc because the xbox fanboys complained that pc users got more than they did on gears 1. Epic quite literally fail.
