Web Cam problem with Vista 64

Up to 2 days ago my Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 was working great.

Today I try it and I get the following message:-

"Sorry, no Webcam was found on your system"

HOWEVER

Alongside it in the Microsoft LifeCam window it works same as normal (monitoring what the webcam see's in real time).

I normall use Yahoo but also tried Windows Live Messenger with the same results. I am unable to find anything in Windows Live Messenger to start the webcam sending. In both cases there both come up with they are X86 programmes, but they worked before.

Any ideas or tips please?

Uninstall the cameras software/drivers and reinstall it.

I tried that 3 times today with a reboot in between with the same results. Found a new driver a hour ago that was not posted on the microsoft site and got it working in MSN.

As I normally only use Yahoo and nobody I know is logged in at the moment I can't test it in yahoo. That comes tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply I may have to come back to that and start again if it does not work.

Yeah, that's weird. The specs say it works on Vista 32 or 64 bit. You might try uninstalling/reinstalling of Yahoo and live messenger if you haven't already. See if your new drivers do the trick. Good Luck.
