Does anyone know how to attach files to Yahoo e-mails, when running Vista? Thanks to lovely Vista, I have to restore my laptop to the factory settings. Of course Vista has "lost" my CD drive, so I cannot back-up my documents to a CD. I attempted to e-mail my documents to my Yahoo account, but Vista - for my own good, bless its heart - does not allow this: "For your computer's security, websites that are in different security zones must open in different windows." As far as I can tell Vista will only allow me to e-mail files via Microsoft programs (Outlook or Windows Mail.) Does anyone know of a workaround, that will allow me to attach files to my Yahoo message without routing it through Outlook? I have been attaching files to my Yahoo messages for the last 300 human years (aka 8 Microsoft years) and would like to continue doing so. Please and thank you...

Neelo,

Welcome to the Vista x64 Forums

I'd like to recommend that you take a look at Windows Live Mail. You can get a free @live.com address, then use WLM on your PC. Except for some small burps, it works well for me, including attachments.

Give it a look.

Here's a link to get you started: Windows Live

Good luck and I hope this works out for you.
