Visual C++ 2005 Install Error

Hey..

Every time i try to install a Program/Game in Windows Vista x64, i keep get a Visual C++ 2005 install Error, about a Reg key that's locked, i haven't seen that before now(the last 4 Months) and i cant complete the install's:sa::sa:

I got screenshots showing the error message's, but the first is in Danish, so i will try to translate as best as possible:

First picture:
Error 1402: The key: Unknown\Components\DA42BC89BF..... Could Not Be opened. Control you have sufficient acces to the key, or contact the support-Technician's..

Try this, it has been successful in the past at fixing this error.

How do I restore security settings to the default settings?

Well that update/tool don't work for me:huh:..

and uninstalling and reinstalling don't solve the problem either..

The funny thing is that its only C++ 2005 x86 not x64 and not 2008 64/86 that have the problem..

P.s. i've found out that i had 2 identical versions of C++ 2005 SP0 installet:huh:..

Ive found the problem.. Its the freaking Nvidia PhysX Driver thats blocking the Reg-Key.. And i can't uninstall it because the key is locked.. Need Help..

Actually this is fixable. It's not easy, it's time consuming, but it's relatively safe to do so as long as you follow instructions exactly. I just spent the last three hours hacking my own registry and documenting every step and I've been able to boil it down into a working fix. But since this post is over a year old I don't think anyone cares. I'll post it over on the steam forums or on my website. -.-
