Ok so I have a HP Pavilion 6000t with a Nvidia 7400 video card and it's definitely having some issues. Right now i have Vista Ultimate installed but can't get any video card drivers installed correctly on it. I downloaded the one from the hp.com website and also did the one where it automatically detects it from the windows update drivers tab. Right now I'm using the Standard VGA graphics adapter driver.
The other related issue is that I can't get anything displayed on my laptop screen, but I can connect an external monitor using the vga out. I tried the Function F4 key and it basically blacks out the external monitor and I then can't get it back to showing any
thing on screen. Nothing is displayed in the settings display thing so i can't get test to see if it even reads the laptop monitor as a display.
The question is, is there a way to install a better graphics driver than this standard VGA graphics adapter? Or maybe find a driver that will install correctly the Nvidia 7400 card.
