vista update kb955430 administrator error

hi, i have vista home 32bit. service pack 2. windows update wants to download vista update kb955430. when i try it says an administrator must be logged on. my account is administrator. i even tried making a new account to make it administrator etc but doesn't matter what i do i get the same message come up.

That is an old update. I think that you already have it on your system. It has to do with preparing the computer for future updates, possibly even SP2.
Right click the upadate and select hide. If you run into problems in the future, we could worry about the update, then. I do not think that you will experience problems, however.

hi , i tried it one more time before i went to hide it and it worked. downloaded etc. however i didn't know how to hide the updates i didn't want to download so i have been able to use your info for the others.

    Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset. Only ever used a laptop. Also use USB Freeview TV Card Lenovo Docking Station External Speakers Other bits a pieces as needed
