Vista Ultimate x64 4Gb stability

Hello,

I recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 edition, and I've been having stability problems. Vista will boot into windows fine w/ 4GB (2 x 2GB) installed. For about 3 minutes everything is normal, then Areo become very unstable. The GUI displays glitches and horrizontal bars ontop of windows.

Everything is perfectly normal when just 1 DIMM is installed. I've installed KB929777, with no avail. I've tried switching between sticks, tried them both in just single channel mode, removing my tv tuner. Nothing seems to work.

My build is as follows:
Athlon 64 x2 5000+ Black Edition
Corsair Value Select 2GB DDR2 667 (the other DIMM is the same model)
Vista Ultimate x64
Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H (AMD 690G based)
ATI Radeon X1300 XT
ATI TV Wonder HD 650 PCI-E

Any suggestions, comments ( I believe its an OS problem).

Check for a BIOS update. If your system is stable with 1 stick in single channel you have either a motherboard incompatibility or your RAM doesnt like each other. You probably have a defect in one or both DIMMS and since they were probably sold as a matched pair I guess Corsair droped the ball in the QC dept. Check you voltages in the BIOS as well and make sure both CPU core and the RAMs voltages are set properly.

My main rig runs Vista Ultimate or Server 2008. Depending on which Acronis image I decide to load.
Thanks, looks like it was a bios issue. I saw there was a new bios available, and i'm glad i finally updated it. So far it's been stable for about 30 minutes w/ both 2GB sticks installed (been able to do some minor stress testing w/ multipler apps as well as recording & watching live tv). It also gave me some new capability like .5 multipliers for my A64 x2 black edition.

I appreciate your advice tho.
