Vista Ultimate Question

Ummm, what is x86 vs x64 ? Which is the 64 bit version ? Is the x86 a 32 bit version ? If so I think I need to reinstall Vista again! *sigh*:confused:

x86 = 32 bit

x64 = 64 bit

x86/32 bit will only use around 3-3.25 GB of RAM. 64 bit is much better for multi-tasking as well.

What do you mean? 32 bit and 64 bit editions of Windows Vista are two separate disks I believe.

Mine gave me the option of installing x86 or x64. I chose 86 because it was a bigger number. I realize in advance that this makes my a moron. But I'm a truthful moron.

Well, I guess you can try reinstalling and selecting x64.
