My vista 32 install slowed down so much that I did a full install from scratch. Since the professionals say dead registry entries don't hurt ( see posts at http://www.vistax64.com/vista-performance-maintenance/71426-registry-cleaner.html ), what is it that might cause vista to get slower and slower?
I've heard it often said that windows seems to just slow down over time, and it seems to be true in my experience as well.
I'd like to know how to get my system running great without needing to reinstall..
*edit -- Yes, I know this is a vista 64 forum, in fact I'm now using vista 64, not 32. But the general question should still apply: why do windows os'es (32 or 64) seem to bog down over time?
