Vista Sharing Stops

So I have a Windows Vista Laptop that's on all the time (Not in sleep) and I have a Hitachi External Hard Drive connected, one of my folders is shared on the External HD.

If I leave the computer sit for an hour or so it stops being discoverable on the network, but it doesn't go to sleep, I move the mouse and it's instantly fine and dandy again. Is there a timeout on network discovery I don't know about?

I need to be able to have people access the files on my External HD while I'm not home.

Hello, go to your power settings and make adjustments for the computer to not go into a low power setting or screen saver mode.

I have already done the power settings, I am not sure what the screen saver has to do with it, but I'll try that and report back my results.
