I am having alot of trouble with Vista Home Premium. I have just put togeather a new build and it has an ASUS motherboard with a Corsair 650W power supply. I have installed 2 x 2G of Corsair memory and there are 2 x 500GB Segate Hardrives. I also have a AMD Phenom 9900 2.6GHZ Quad core processor
After I do a fresh install and update the motherboard drivers with the provided CD along with updating vista I basically cannot run vista at all. When I try to open any program vista freezes and I cannot click on anything. The only way to fix this is to reboot but I have yet to successfully run vitsa for an extended period of time. I also installed iTunes.
Is there a reason this is happening or things I can check? I was also having some trouble while in safe mode but I would have to try it again to verify this. I would think with a quad-core processor and 4GB of ram these problems would be software.
Any help would be appreciated.
