Hello,
I have an Acer aspire 5100 series notebook and i recently tried to upgrade the driver for the sata controller and for some reason i thought it was a good idea to uninstall device completely from the device manager now vista boots up and displays a BSOD, and suddenly restarts. I cant do any sort of system restores because i have no restore points. What can i do?

The only possible avenue besides using the full recovery option would be booting from a recovery disk if you have one for the startup repair tool found there. The specific error displayed on the BSOD would be a help in trying other methods.
