Vista Motherboard - ETC

I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, running Vista Home Premium. Our cat decided to take a leak on it....imagine the results. SO, I ordered a new motherboard, installed it etc., NOW the power button doesnt work, but oddly enough the quicktime button turns the laptop on. LOL - I have no idea why. also, the sound isnt working although the device manager says it is fine. Are there settings for this?

It is DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Hello laidback,
Have you got this fixed yet ?.
The power issue is a wiring thing i would think.
Did you do a fresh install of Vista when you fitted the new MB ?, the consensus is , that it is always best to do a fresh install when fitting a new MB.
You can still save all the files you want to disk, or back them up some other way.
Let us know how things are.
