Hello Kenny, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Do you have any other email client program installed that is becoming the default instead? If you do, then check that progam's setting to turn off the "Check to make sure it is the default" type of option.

Kenny,

I had thought that you meant the "Mail To" email address links. If you mean for internet links, then double check in Default Programs to make sure that Internet Explorer is set as the default program with all of it's associations set to it as well.

Kenny,

See if this may be able to help:

In Windows Mail, click on Tools, Options, Security tab, dot "Internet Zone", uncheck "Do not allow attachments.....", uncheck "Block images and.....". Next, right click on that message and click on "Add Sender to Safe Sender List" (if you trust that sender) to help remove restrictions on email from that email address.

You might also check any program that you have installed since then may interact with Windows Mail, and disable any feature that does. For example a antivirus program that has an email scanning option.

Kenny,

Give the free Windows Live Mail a try instead to see if it can work better for you. It's more stable and a better program IMO. :)

Kenny,

Do you have any other program installed that is making itself as the default instead?

You can check in Default Programs to see what the individual file extenstions is showing as the current default program for it instead of IE and Windows Mail as it should be. After you see what program it is instead, check to see if that program has an option to turn off to stop making it the default.
