Vista Install Needs Drivers

Hi I am brand new to this forum and I am looking for an answer that I have not been able to find anywhere. I have a Dell XPS 2010 and my hard drive crashed. I went out and bought a new hard drive and put the manufacturer Vista Install disk into the disk drive to reload windows vista. The disk refused to boot and I soon figured out that my DVD drive is completely dead. I took the hard drive out and put it in another computer and managed to get the vista installation to boot from my hard drive. I get past the first step where it asks the language and everything, but then on the next page it says the Drivers for the DVD/CD drive are missing and that I need to install them. I have a disk that came with the computer that simply says it contains the drivers for the computer, but all it has on it is a .exe setup file. I am completely stuck and confused on what to do. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

A relatively easy problem to solve. We can use several steps, starting with the easiest.
Connect to the internet,
Boot the computer
Now, do you have the driver?

No?
Go to search by the start button and type device manager.
When manager comes up, look a the different drivers that it shows. By the CD driver there is most likely a small yellow triangle. Click on that driver and update, while still on the net.

Work yet? No.
From Device manager, find out the manufacturer of the driver, and download a new driver from that website.

You should be up and running, now.

There is no way I can boot the computer. I have no OS on the hard drive and it needs the driver before I can even install vista to the hard drive.
