Vista + Firefox question

I recently switched from IE7 to FireFox 3(Should have done it A LOT sooner!!!). I love the program except for one thing. In the Vista Start Menu when I click on my email button it still opens with IE7. Is there a way to fix this so that it uses FireFox instead?
Sorry if this is a newbee question!!!

Hi Mhurdt,

In Firefox goto Tools > Options > Applications tab then you can change the mailto: default program ;)

I tried what you listed, but I don't need to use a program(ie. outlook) I just want the button to launch FireFox. I don't get a listing for that, and I can't add anything except a program. Any other ideas? Regedit maybe?

There are many addons for firefox. I believe one of them allows you to do this. Please check it out. Also you can use one of firefox's brother programs. Thunderbird. It is from mozilla and is a full email program. Check them both out!

Firefox is also a program you can add and regedit is way overkill :sarc:

Use this Firefox Extension InvisGhost mentioned: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/206
You will need to login before your allowed to install the addon ;)
