Vista Downlod Issue

Hey all.

I need some help with vista. When i download Files using Firefox or IE once they have downloaded they vanish from the files i save them too. I cannot find them anywhere on the computer i have even tried opening the files rather than saving them using IE. still no luck it jsut wont open.

Please can someone provide me with an answer to solve this issue.

Have you changed the place they are saved to, like for example desktop, when they ask to save or open?

Quick help with Firefox (dont do much with IE anymore) if you go to Tools Options the second panel allows you to tell firefox where to download files or to ask each time ( IE i'm sure has a similar option)

Nope, i have not changed the directroy it is saved in, when i use Firefox my files save to Desktop and when im using IE they save to my download. on Firefox when your download you can see the file plus the .part files once the download is complete the .part file vanishes asusual once a file is downloaded along with the exe of rar files i download too. and when im using IE normaly when i file has completed downloading the box will re-appear showing "Download Complete", the box just vanishis along with the file too.

I suspect that either your firewall or your antimalware software is doing strange things, but let's first try some online scans for malware.

The file i am trying to download was Quicktime, so i can watch i .mov movie i recorded on holiday
