Hi I just reinstaleld windows vista 64 ultimate and I installed the gpu driver and when I restart when the vista loading screen is finished it goes to a blank screen for about 5-10 secs and then the moniter just says their is no connection or something I have never had this problem
Also, *which driver did you install? I have one of those SLI'd with a stock 260 (and am using eVGA's Precision utility to OC both to 636 MHz / 1107 MHz / 65% rpms) and have not had a single problem with any of the drivers, neither the 'current' 180.48 nor the Beta 180.84 and 181.00

Well first I went to the website and installed the 180.48 and when it gets to the login screen it just goes blank so i installed windows again because i have no idea how to get by that so i tried the cd that came with it i think its 174 or something but yeah i had to re install vista and this is my second time doing this and i have not had this problem before and to the other answer yes the two 8 pin conectors are plugged in I have 2 other ones that came with my psu should i try those?
Thanks for the support on the holiday
where are the 8 pin connectors coming from? although I doubt that power here is an issue as if the card were underpowered you'd get a nice big fat message on the screen complaining about power as soon as the system were powered on....
Right now, are you on a brand new Vista installation with no drivers installed?

The motherboard drivers are from the cd the chipset is 4.6.4.0 the audio driver is 6.0.1.5618 the hdmi driver is 1.00.00.23
Right now on the video settings it says generic-non-pnp on standard vga graphics adapter and i am using my 260 connected by a dvi cable
I have no real video driver on here i guess
thanks

OK, so you are using a brand new install of Vista at the moment, with no video driver - what else *have* you installed? And what does Device Manager say you have under your Display Adapter?

And yet your machine produces problems when you install the driver. Do you get a message stating that this drive is not signed, asking you to continue or not, when isntalling it?
Have you tried downlaoding the driver again, perhaps something got corrupted in your initial downlaod....
