Vista 32Bit explorer crashing

About a week ago my monitor started to dim and die.it was just because it was burning out.but 2 days ago i turned my monitor back on and my explorer crashed.i reset my pc and my explorer crashed again before anything could come up.i tired safe mode and ti doesnt work either.i have an monitor plugged in now and although i can do more then with my LCD my explorer still crashes.with this old 2002 monitor the explorer still crashes but i can still get to some things.Why is it doin this and what might i be able to try to fix it.

not sure why it is crashing but it has nothing to do with your monitor.

No probably not but my monitor is causing some kind of issue with my LCD plugged in nothing loads up at all its an instant crash with my 2002 monitor plugged in my task bar loads up a little bit.could just be a coincidence idk and it doesn't matter all that much all that does is fixing the problem.

have you tried to do a system restore, updating your drivers.

yes my my drivers are up to date.and system restore is failing everytime
