vista 32 and vista x64

i build my pc with 2 hard drives so i could intall vista 32 and vista x64. installed vista 32, no problems.then i installed vista x64 and i can't connect to the internet, that just on vista x64. vista 32 rus internet with no problems. need help please.

Need more information - did you install the drivers for all your hardware (like your NIC) in Vista x64? What devices, if any, show as not working in Device Manager in X64?

everithing was installed. when i go to divece manager and ck to update driver go to propaerties and ck for drivers updates, there is no problem with the drivers.

What devices in the device manager are have a ! or x on them.

OK, just to double check:

• 1 computer
• 2 different Vista installations (32bit on one HD / partition and 64bit on another)
• Boot into 32bit, Internet connection works
• Boot into 64bit and it does not.

If I have this right, then we need to make sure all your settings for the NICs are the same in both OSs....

Since they are both Vista, basically the same way - right click the network icon in the system tray and select "Network and Sharing Center.

You should see something like the following (you may only see one network entry and one NIC entry):



Then just click on View Status link beside your NIC.

It works the same way in both installs.

i'm not going to use vista x64, since many people are haveng problems with network, i'll wait till a sollution comes out. i'll go back to vista 32 and xp pro. ty.

I guarantee you ask around here and more people will say *no* problems with internet connectivity than not - but it is your choice.
