virus on mozilla.com?

I was going ahead to download firefox today. And when the option came up to save or open It said it was from bitcast-a.bitgravity.com. Wich does not seem right to me??? Is this normal?

update- I just went back to see what the download said. now it says its from mozilla.snt.utwente.nl??? What the heck???

but that was the whole point of this?? The download seems to be coming from other than a site than mozilla.com, why? the site changes. I put 2 exaples in my first 2 posts

I believe those are basically just mirror sites from which Firefox downloads. Someone with more tech knowledge that I may be able to detail it out a bit more. Bitgravity.com is a content provider. Should be ok.

I went back to the link I posted before, choose the English version (first choice) and it is from the following site:

GreatNate...I started the download several times and each time the download site was different. The first was mozilla. whatever and the last was something like ftp.uni-kl.de. So, I believe they are all just different mirror sites.

If you do much gaming you'll know that to patch a game or download a demo you have to browse a list of suggested mirror site smanually to find one that works for you. I think Mozilla, wanting you to use their browser, does the mirror selection for you automatically when yoiu choose to download Firefox.

I think you'lll be ok just hitting the download button and saving the Firefox file. If there is a virus your AV sould detect it anyway.

Both of those are in the link that Whomever posted. Here's the first (listed under the secondary NA mirrors),

which is listed under the primary European mirrors. No hijacking or anything else untoward going on.
