Hi, I'm new here. Not sure if this is the right forum but what the heck... When I play videos that were recorded from my digi camera and play from my computers Hard Drive, they come out ultra dark and it looks like the contrast is off too. The problem is I can't adjust anything to fix it. The problem is not my camera cuz these vids works perfect on XP!! I have a HP Palivon dv6700

If I left anything out that you need to know, please respond!

Thanks!

What graphics card does your computer use?

If you're using an nVidia graphics card, then perhaps you can check in the nVidia Settings for tools to adjust the color, brightness and contrast of video streams.

Also try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.

has anyone had the same issues?? I can't figure this out...

Go back to your nvidia control panel

navigate to your "adjust video color settings" and uncheck the box next to the words "use the NVIDIA control panel color settings"

That should fix it...

I'm assuming of course the control panel is the same for your nvidia as is for my nvidia 8600 card
