VIDEO Folder APPCRASH problem

Hi, im new to the forums.

A while back i had the COM Surrogate problem when trying to view my content in the VIDEO folder, and now it doesn't seem to work and crashs everytime i view the folder.

Only the videos folder? How many files are in it? Have you run CHKDSK /f to see if it finds any errors on your HD?

so far, its the only area of my pc were it crashes. Ive tested other areas and they work fine. And no, i havnt done CHKDSK yet which i will do. I have a few divx and avi files in that folder.

I've got the same problem, but for me its allso on Vistas DreamScene bakrounds.

Dont even know what could be the source of this problem.

I had the same problem, the thing is you can not convert or watch it in common Media players but what i do is watch the videos on DIVX player which is more reliable espeicially when you are watching a DIVX video
