Video Files Gone !!

hi there
i am using Windows Vista Ultimate ..
when i open the video songs there is icon for all the video files , i like this feature of windows vista very much .. but recently problem occurs that some of the video icons are shown and some of them are not . but now all of the are not show , looks like XP .. :(
Tell me what to do ..
i search the answer before and some of them were saying this is due to Nero.. but it is not , i have Nero 8 Installed and it is comatable for Vista..
plz tell me what to do ..

Have you recently installed/uninstalled any codecs? Using a bad codec can do this.

You can also try:

Open "Control Panel"->"Programs"->"Default Programs", then click on "Set your default programs" and make sure Windows Media Player is set to all its defaults.

No i dont use that such Codecs , my default program to open the video files is Klite codec and i am using it since i installed Vista on ma PC .. that means 5-6 months ..
i try to put default program Windows media player for that but still no icons are displayed..
tell me what to do ?
