Video card difference.

I found a cool PC game I want to buy, I passed all the requirements for it, except the video card. It calls for a GeForce 6800 series or greater. I have a GeForce 6150. Would this affect the game at all? Thanks.

Probably....the 6800 is a dedicated card and yours is integrated. It might be able to run on lower settings. You need to try.

ok.... according to the specs (& the fact you actually have space in the case), here's a few options that will really improve your gaming experience... ;)

9800GT

HD5670 DX11

none of these cards require additional power, & will both be night & day difference from what you have now..

i suppose you can go cheaper if you want, but the cards i listed above are GOOD gaming cards which have low power consumption at a great price..

TBH mate unless you have a half decent GFX card, i wouldn't even put myself through the torture of trying to game..

forget it mate, you'd need more GPU power than i suggested, in fact you'd need a complete H/W transplant to run it.

You can still invest in a card to do more that what you think. I know they sell cheaper ones at Staples ATI/Nvidia. They arent as expensive as most of the higher end cards and make the whole pc experience alot better.

BUt about Cyrsis...I wont even try it on my high end laptop...you need to really but a whole system together to play that one the best possible, or even the lowest end.

There are alot of games out there on the market so try them out and work from there.

For most of the game today you can play them. If you are trying Assassins Creed, COD 4, Left 4 Dead, Bioshock then you can probably play them with what you have. At least on medium to low settings.

If you upgrade the graphics you could play most directx 10 games with a 256 MB graphics card.
