I have been using vista ultimate 64 bit since December without any problems until now. My usb ports just quit working. What do I need to do and why do you think this happened?
Have a look at your mobo drivers.
It could be that a microsoft update has overwritten them.
Go into device manager and check that there are no problem devices.
You can also look at the error logs to try and get more info.
I did and there was no problem devices. I then did some arranging of added usb devices on the mobod usb connectors and nothing. Then I realized try another usb device. Stupid people should not use the computer. The camera I have for some reason was not recognized. The flash drive I used worked so it had something to do with the camera. It just had worked a little bit ago so I don't know what the heck is wrong with it. It works fine to take pics etc.
