Hello, I have vista 32 and I just purchased a cell phone Samsung M8800 Pixon. I plug it into my USB port using the sync cable and it doesn't do anything, no found new hardware no nothing. The only thing it does is it will use the power from the USB port to charge the phone and it shows that on my phone. Why isnt my usb pot recognizing new hardware when I plug into it? Thanks!

Well I have the software and I have installed it but still it doesn't detect me plugging in the phone. If I went to device manager it looks the same as if I didn't plug in anything

You can try a different cable, but I must confess I did not find any mention of connection that phone to a computer in the user guide.

Try turning your Phone off then connect it..... some Phones are funny in design and are required to be turned off to enable data transfer

its probably a usb-modem so you,ll need to install the correct driver for it to be detected and a upload app for data transfer
