usb hard disk not detecting

I am using vista Sp1 x64 bit operating system. 2 weeks ago i met with a OS crash.
and i re-installed my OS. after that my usb hard disk & my pen drives are not detected. i am having western digital hard disk.

before i insert my harddisk it ll be detected it will not ask for driver cd. but now its asking pls hepl me out.

When you reinstalled the OS did you install the motherboard's drivers?

Also please list system specs, especially motherboard.

ya i installed motherboard .

it shows all tick

It's possible that you maybe have to recreate the partitions on the drives.
