Well, im having another problem now. When i try to connect a keyboard or a outside hard drive to my pc it wont recognize it. This motherboard has 4x USB 2.0 slots so that shouldnt be a problem.
My OS : windows vista home premium 64bit
Motherboard : Abit ip35-e
E: The hard drive works on my other computers. And i have XP in em', and i just cant get it work on this computer.. really annoying

Device manager would be a good place to start. See what is not installed.

Are you using a USB hub? Try connecting a USB mouse directly to the motherboard USB port.

Reboot. Enter your CMOS on startup usually f2 or del. Not sure check each menu. Usually on Integrated devices but could be elsewhere.

Michael was saying that to get *into* your BIOS you either press DEL or F2. Once in the BIOS, you then look for those options in one of the menus.

The F2 / DEL was only for trying to get into the BIOS, nothing more.

I went through the same thing this weekend with my USB devices. I went into the BIOS to enabled a USB DVD to install XP x64 from. I had to enable a bunch of USB settings to get it to function. Look for legacy settings so your USB mouse and keyboard will work on POST.

For future reference, when trying to post info, be as specific as you can - in this case, when in the BIOS, grab a pen and paper and start writing down *exactly* what you see - otherwise anyone trying to help you is going to be playing a guessing game as to whether you're really in the right spot or not.
