URL box for Hyperlink ...not appearing.

This problem just started, with my Windows Mail. The URL box, that should appear, after clicking on Hyperlink, in the Insert drop down, does not. Instead, a larger blank window, (8"x 8" approx), appears. It has no title or identification whatsoever, and is non functional, except for blocking some of my screen. However, .. File attachment, Text from file, Picture, and Horizontal line, all work correctly This computer stuff is not second nature to me, and sometimes puzzling. Appreciate all help and suggestions. Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum...

Have you tired a system restore say going back at least 5 days before the problem started.

Try the sfc command, which is...
Click start...
All programs...
Accessories...
Right click on the command prompt and run it as administrator...
Type sfc /scannow notice there is a space between the sfc and the forward slash...
Check your event viewer to help find the problem...
