[URGENT] Network Adapter..

So I turned my laptop on today and for some reason it would not connect to the internet. I thought it might be the router so I rebooted that and still no luck. When troubleshooting it says;

"This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured"

So immediately I think the driver or my adapter has been uninstalled. If your wondering what my adapter was its;

Nvidia nForce Networking Controller (x64 Windows Ultimate)

I went on there website and found the driver, installed it and still nothing. I also found another program that was installed;

Broadcom 802.11 Uninstaller

I really need this fixed and I will apericate any feedback and help, thanks everybody.

OK, please could you post your System Specs under User CP so we can see your complete hardware setup.

It may be worth (if it's a desktop) making sure the network card hasn't managed to jump out of place or isn't covered in dust (use common sense while doing this and make sure your PC is switched off and unplugged while the case is open.

Does you network card show up in device manager or is it completely gone, no trace?

I did some research on this laptop and its a problem when the computer overheats the graphics chip malfunctions causing the network adapter to brake. It costs £30 for an extended warranty and I dont feel like spending that as its totally not my fault.

Instead I bought a nice £6 dongle with the range of 100 metres, this should do the trick.

Thanks for your help!
